Beaver Creek Golf Club Opens for the Summer Season Friday, May 11

The Beaver Creek Golf Club opens for the summer season Friday, May 11, 2012. Nestled against the slopes of Beaver Creek Mountain and one of the longest established golf courses in the Vail Valley, the 18-hole championship course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., will offer public play May 11 – June 14, 2012 and Sept. 16 – Oct. 7, 2012. The course will be open to club members and Beaver Creek Resort, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead guests June 15 – Sept. 15, 2012.

Beaver Creek Tough Mudder Confirmed for June 9-10, 2012

Beaver Creek Resort today announced that for a second year it will host Tough Mudder on the slopes June 9-10, 2012. Following the success of last year’s event which drew more than 25,000 participants and spectators, spirited competitors will return to conquer the event’s notorious 10-12 mile obstacle course with 25 features designed by British Special Forces and a start elevation of 8,100 feet at the base of Beaver Creek.

2012 USA Pro Cycling Challenge Route to Include Mountaintop Finish at 8,100 Feet in Beaver Creek Village

Contenders for a stage win during the fourth day of competition at the 2012 USA Pro Cycling Challenge will need to remember to keep some leg and lung power reserves in the tank as Beaver Creek Resort today identified the route for its Stage 4 mountaintop finish. The stage will take place on Thursday, Aug. 23, day four of the week-long 2012 edition.
