Today, Vail Resorts announced that Chief Executive Officer Rob Katz and his wife, Elana Amsterdam, have made significant contributions totaling more than $2 million to support emotional wellness programs in nearly every mountain resort community in which Vail Resorts operates.

Vail Resorts today announced that the Company plans to invest approximately $175 million to $180 million in the guest experience in time for the 2019-20 winter ski and snowboard season across its network of 18 resorts. This latest investment is in addition to approximately $150 million invested for this season, bringing the Company’s industry-leading resort investment total to more than $1.2 billion over the last decade.

Long recognized as the unofficial kickoff for the upcoming ski and snowboard season, Ski Rex launches its annual pre-season sale beginning Labor Day weekend. Colorado Ski & Golf’s six Front Range locations in Aurora, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Littleton, Lone Tree, and Westminster were all recently re-branded to Epic Mountain Gear and will have closeout deals of up to 60 percent off on skis, snowboards, boots, outerwear, and accessories.

On Wednesday, June 24, thousands of Coloradans will join Bike to Work Day as part of the annual campaign to encourage and support bike commuting. The campaign is coordinated by the Denver Regional Council of Governments and encourages cyclists to try commuting. Staff members from the Front Range’s five Bicycle Village stores are convinced that the relatively new electric bikes (e-bikes) are going to be a game-changer for prospective bike commuters by providing a pedaling-assisted riding experience.
