Celebrate the Luck O’ the Irish at Beaver Creek this Saturday
Beaver Creek, Colo. March 13, 2012 –Celebrate the luck o’ the Irish at Beaver Creek on St. Patrick’s Day with a variety of activities and entertainment. In place of its regular signature Cookie Time chocolate chip cookies, the resort plans to hand out special shamrock sugar cookies served in the morning and during afternoon Cookie Time at 3 p.m. on Saturday. The Guest Services team will be handing out a limited number of commemorative St. Patrick’s Day ski pass lanyards in the lift lines at the base when lifts open at 8:30 a.m.
Later in the day skiers and riders can refuel on the slopes and enjoy “green” drink specials at Spruce Saddle Lodge and Red Tail Camp. Broken Arrow is hosting a patio party with live music by Dave Perron and Friends from 2-5 p.m.

Springfest at Beaver Creek is underway offering families with kids of all ages a variety of fun entertainment in the afternoons now through April 14th. On St. Paddy’s Day sports fans can cheer on their favorite teams all day during Sportsfest @ McCoy’s. With 12 big screen TV’s featuring March Madness, NBA, NHL, NASCAR and more, sports fanatics will find their favorite games to watch at McCoy’s. Kids are welcome and can play on indoor basketball half-courts, pool tables and everyone can enjoy après entertainment from Shannon Tanner.
At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 a Family St. Paddy’s Celebration will take place in Beaver Creek’s plaza featuring a sing-a-long with Irish folk songs and Irish dancing from the World Championship qualifiers, the McTeggert School of Irish Dance, which is recognized as one of the most vibrant and renowned Irish dance academies in the country. Known for their fast footwork and rhythmic precision, the dancers have claimed titles at the regional, national and world level.
When the ski day is done at Beaver Creek, Springfest springs into action providing afternoons and evenings of scheduled activities for kids and teens every day until April 14. Families can choose from kids’ parades, ice skating parties in the village, Vilar Performing Arts Center shows, yoga for kids, teen tubing and snowshoeing and more.
