Whistler Blackcomb works closely with our portfolio communications team and Tourism Whistler's travel media team to see the many valuable stories about this region told. We're interested in working with journalists, influencers and filmmakers, with confirmed assignments, and will facilitate access to the mountains and subjects you will want to interview.

Please contact the Communications Department as early as possible when you have an assignment. We’ll need to know: 
  • Your story pitch
  • Media outlet
  • Number of people in your crew
  • When you are hoping to visit
  • Any specific entities you are hoping to interview

Complimentary Lift Tickets

Complimentary lift tickets are provided, for up to three days, for media on assignment. We want to ensure you have the access needed to create great content and will be with you throughout this process.

Please contact Communications Director Sara Roston, sara,d.roston@vailresorts.com. Include background on the story you are pursuing, the number of working media in your party, date of your arrival and your anticipated needs (ie. lift tickets, rentals, etc.). Vail Resorts reviews all pitches and selects those stories it can pursue based on availability and demand. It does not provide complimentary tickets for spouses, significant others, children or friends. We also do not provide complimentary lift tickets to media on vacation.
 

Complimentary Lodging

Tourism Whistler's travel media team primarily vet Whistler's media lodging requirements. Please contact Tania Sear (tsear@tourismwhistler.com) and Mary Zinck (mzinck@tourismwhistler.com) directly with your pitch, if you require overnight accommodation.

At Vail Resorts providing the best experience for our guests is paramount. We do not provide complimentary media tickets or host media during peak periods including: Thanksgiving, Christmas, MLK, President's Day Weekend and Easter. 

Filming and Photography

Filming and photo shoots require additional approvals and may require insurance. Please contact the appropriate PR manager at least three weeks in advance, as outlined in our photo and video section.
