Enhanced Mountain-to-Village Experience Awaits Families on Opening Day
With the expansion of Beaver Creek’s snowmaking system at Red Buffalo Park, a newly renovated Children’s Ski School, and a remodeled Village, family experiences will start on Opening Day at Beaver Creek Resort. Beaver Creek Resort is enhancing its early-season terrain offerings through the snowmaking expansion in Red Buffalo Park. The additional snowmaking capabilities at Red Buffalo Park will ensure more reliable early-season terrain in a key dedicated learning area of the upper mountain, with the goal of providing more than 3,300 vertical feet of top-to-bottom skiing and riding on opening day each year. An interior renovation of Beaver Creek’s Children Ski School facilities will improve the guest experience for the entire family, from sales and registration to rental equipment fitting. Additionally, a newly remodeled Village will welcome families for one-of-a-kind events and experiences throughout the season. Beaver Creek is home to the most dedicated learning terrain in the state of Colorado. With the founding of Beaver Creek’s Signature Parks Collection, beginner and intermediate skiers have more terrain built for their skill level than ever before. The dedicated learning areas provide beginner terrain that mimics the setting of advanced trails, granting guests of all ski levels a chance to explore more of our mountain on terrain they are comfortable skiing.
The Signature Parks Collection offers a progressive, extraordinary ski experience for beginner and intermediate skiers who can feel comfortable on the terrain while also discovering the amazing treasures Beaver Creek mountain has to offer, such as mountain-top vistas, groomed glades, adventure zones, and world-class dining.
Willy the Mountain Safety Dog
Beaver Creek’s newest ambassador can’t give you directions or carry your skis. But if you stop by and shake his paw, he’ll share some safety tips on the mountain! Willy, Beaver Creek’s first-ever Mountain Safety dog, will be accompanying Beaver Creek’s Mountain Safety team to spread the word about safety on the hill. While Willy is not a certified avalanche rescue dog, he and his handler, Mark Carll, have an equally important mission of educating Beaver Creek guests about safely skiing and riding in the mountains. Willy, a golden retriever, joined the Beaver Creek team in the summer of 2018, and is most definitely the cutest new member of the team. Village Connect
Last season, Beaver Creek Resort debuted a new app providing on-demand transportation services under a new name: Village Connect. Village Connect displays real-time arrival information for the on-demand transportation services within the Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead communities. The Village Connect App includes the ability to request a fixed route vehicle stop for guests, on demand.

The Winter Wine Excursion is a unique way to experience a different side of Beaver Creek with a guided snowshoe tour, finishing the day with a wine pairing. Red Buffalo Park, located at the mountain’s highest elevation, 11,440 feet, provides 13 trails designated as a family adventure zone and features family-friendly amenities such as snow sculptures throughout the park, Kids Adventure Zones and a dedicated Ski School Skills Zone. Guests enrolled in Beaver Creek Ski School will have exclusive access to the Cookie Cabin, a mountaintop refuge serving up Beaver Creek’s famed, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies all-day long. At the heart of the experience, the new Red Buffalo Express Lift (#5), a high-speed quad, allows for easier access to the dedicated beginner terrain while decreasing lift lines and providing a shorter, 4.3-minute ride to the top of the mountain.

Following the debut of Red Buffalo Park during the 2017-2018 season, Beaver Creek Resort debuted a second signature learning area in 2018-19. At the heart of Haymeadow Park are a beginner gondola and lift, Haymeadow Express Gondola (#1) and Highlands Lift (#2), plus adjacent magic carpets designed for beginner skiers and riders of all ages. Beaver Creek’s innovative learning terrain is designed around creating the most enjoyable beginner experience with snow terrain features perfectly sculpted to ensure a guests’ first skiing and riding experience is positive. Terrain improvements include a learning area with a beginner race course, Buffalo Bumps and Berms, and Ske-Cology environmental learning. White Carpet Club, from Beaver Creek Reserve
Beaver Creek’s White Carpet Club – an exclusive, private retreat conveniently located just steps from the escalator to Centennial Express Lift – welcomes resort guests looking for a slope-side convenience and a space to call their own during their time at Beaver Creek. Located at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain, the White Carpet Club offers slope-side ski and snowboard valet; preferred parking in Ford Hall; an elegant lounge with complimentary WiFi and soft, cozy seating; private, spacious lockers for storing apparel and accessories; boot dryers; a continental service island offering coffees, teas, cocoa, and pastries; and private restroom facilities. The dedicated on-site concierge offers instant assistance with lift ticket and pass purchases, as well as dinner reservations at Beaver Creek’s on-mountain cabins, SaddleRidge, and more. White Carpet Club guests enjoy the advantage of additional convenience, the luxury of dedicated guest service, and the perfect balance between access and escape. Dinner at Beano’s Cabin
The award winning restaurant sits atop the slopes of Beaver Creek Resort within the White River National Forest. Nestled in a mountain meadow that was once a lettuce patch and home to the pioneer farmer and restaurant namesake Frank “Beano” Bienkowski, this luxurious log cabin truly elevates fine dining into a feast for the senses. Ascending to Beano’s Cabin awakens the appetite for the gourmet menu that is accompanied by a breathtaking wine list. The ride to Beano’s Cabin provides spectacular views of towering Grouse Mountain and Larkspur Bowl. Upon arrival, a cozy stone hearth and blazing fire welcomes you to chase away the evening chill lingering from the excursion up. Antler chandeliers light up the vaulted ceilings and make the wall of windows in the dining room shine. An open kitchen design allows guests to immediately enjoy the sights and smells of the meal to come.
Dinner at Zach’s Cabin
Perched on the mountainside high above Bachelor Gulch with the uninterrupted views of the magnificent Gore Range, Zach's is the epitome of fine dining at its peak. Guests are whisked away for a starlit sleigh ride, pulled by a Beaver Creek Snow Cat. Famous for its artful assemblage of fresh Rocky Mountain fare featuring the finest regional and seasonal ingredients paired with excellent vintages for the perfect dinner experience.
Winter Wine Excursion
The Winter Wine Excursion is a unique way to experience a different side of Beaver Creek with a guided snowshoe tour, finishing the day with a wine pairing. After meeting just steps from the village at the Beaver Creek Nordic Center, the adventure begins with a ride up the Strawberry Park Express chairlift to McCoy Park, where all ability levels enjoy a guided snowshoe tour while taking in some of the best views around. Following the tour, The Osprey Fireside Grill welcomes guests into its slope-side mountain-modern elegance, where Executive Chef Ryan Murray serves a delicious assortment of charcuterie carefully paired with select wines.
Fine Dining at SaddleRidge
Found only on the slopes of Beaver Creek, the ski-in SaddleRidge Restaurant is renowned for a gourmet meal set among one of the largest, private collections of American Western artifacts and art in the United States outside of a museum. Upon arrival, guests slip into soft, cozy slippers, luxuriate within the dining room’s rustic, elegant grandeur, and savor gourmet lunch options such as elk Carpaccio, grilled venison tacos and pan seared Idaho ruby trout. Executive Chef Adam J. Roth creates an approachable menu with selections ranging from signature wild game, succulent seafood, and seasonal fare; with more than 450 worldly wines and Champagnes from which to choose, guests are invited to find the perfect pairing. Trapper’s Cabin, from Beaver Creek Reserve
Nestled among aspen and pine trees at 9,500 feet, this luxury getaway on Beaver Creek Mountain offers guests an unforgettable Rocky Mountain experience. An elegant log cabin that sleeps up to 10 guests, Trappers Cabin offers skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and mountain biking right outside the door. It also features a cozy fireplace, Jacuzzi tub and magnificent views of the Gore Mountain Range to the east and McCoy Park to the south. Guests will enjoy European-style, village-to-village skiing between Arrowhead, Bachelor Gulch and Beaver Creek village lodging. The Ice Cream Parlour
Located at the top of Haymeadow Express Gondola (#1), the Ice Cream Parlour offers nostalgic ice cream novelties, or a quick soup and sandwich lunch. Menu offerings include a signature Cookie Time Shake, root beer floats, ice cream by the scoop, house-made hot chocolate, grilled cheese, tomato soup, and more. The Ice Cream Parlous is accessible by skis and by foot, and for foot passengers, a lift ticket is not required to ride Haymeadow Express Gondola.
Beaver Creek Candy Cabin
The Beaver Creek Candy Cabin gained fast fame among guests when it opened its doors during winter 2014-2015. Located at the top of Strawberry Park Express and Upper Beaver Creek Mountain Express lifts, the Cabin’s vintage candy store design of yesteryear invites kids and kids-at-heart to explore myriad palate-pleasing sweets – and to discover artisan craft chocolates found exclusively at the Candy Cabin. Family Private
Augment family time and hone skills together with a Family Private Lesson. Up to six family members can share in each other’s learnings with a Beaver Creek private instructor, who will fine-tune skills, help explore the mountain with expedited lift access and share local knowledge. A family of similar ski ability is recommended to maximize the effectiveness of this lesson; instruction will take place on terrain aligned with the lowest level skier in the group. Beaver Creek’s professional guide will provide helpful tips, expedited lift access and show terrain and runs never seen before.
